Ed Gross became acquainted with the union trades right after high school in 1978. In 1988, he founded a heating/air conditioning company where he worked part-time for seven years. By 1995 his reputation had spread, and Olmsted Heating & Cooling became Ed's full-time career. We visited with Ed recently, and listened as he described Olmsted Heating & Cooling's services and offerings;

Olmsted Heating & Cooling is a full-service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning company specializing in the needs of the residential, commercial, and new construction markets. We offer everything from humidifiers and air cleaners to furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, digital thermostats, and duct work. On the commercial side, our offerings consist of grease hoods, exhaust systems, heaters, roof-top units, and commercial refrigeration. Our product line primarily incorporates the Armstrong Air, Bryant, and York product lines, although we repair boilers, hot water tanks, air conditioners, and furnaces of all makes and models from all manufacturers. We work throughout Northeast Ohio, and have built our reputation on the individualized service we provide to each of our customers.

Our three person office staff is here every day from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday to answer the telephone, address customer questions, and handle our parts department where we stock filters, motors, pumps, igniters, and a full range of parts for those wanting to do their own repairs. After hours, we have a 24 hour pager service that directly contacts one of our highly trained staff members so you always receive a response in a timely manner.

We employ between eight and nine service technicians, and never use sub-contractors. Our technicians are fully certified, licensed, and covered by Workman's Compensation. As a company, we're completely insured, bonded, and are licensed by the State of Ohio and each city where we work.
