Randall (Randy) A. Matejka, R.A. grew up living next door to a well known local architect. His love of drawing coupled with his neighbor's encouragement led Randy into Ohio State's architectural program where he received his four year degree in architecture. He then completed a fifth year of training at Kent State earning him recognition as a nationally Registered Architect. In June 1997 he founded DesignWise Construction Co., Inc. in Independence, Ohio and has since been building a splendid reputation based on facilitating a foundation of cooperation and open dialog between owners, architects, consultants, and project managers that fosters consistently successful project outcomes. We met with Randy recently, and listened as he provided this overview of his company's operations;

DesignWise Construction Co., Inc. is a full service company offering in-house architectural design, engineering, design/build, general contracting, and construction management services to a wide variety of clients and for a diverse set of project types. We can design a new commercial building or a renovation for an existing one, handle the general contracting or construction management of a project, or provide complete design/build services handling everything from producing the drawings through final construction. My parents have been Independence residents for sixty years and I've lived in Independence since 1968. We're a local, hometown company and our intimate knowledge of the local area provides us with the distinct advantage of knowing how the area has been growing and recent construction trends.
